HOW TO DO: CROCHET BRAIDS WITH INVISIBLE ROOTS (WITH HAIR DETAILS)
Hi !
Hope all is well with you, it’s been a while since I posted something here. I’ve got some exciting things coming along and I’m in the process of planing but also trying to make time for a little vacation. On the topic of vacation, the weather is amazing here in Stockholm so there is not much time right now on my schedule for my normal two strand twisting etc.
So I decided it was time for a long term protective style. I do like trying out new things but crochet braids is a winner every time in my book, especially during the summer time, because not only is it a technique that anyone can master with a little practice but it is also a great protective style for anyone natural or not. I love crochet braids because I like being able to clean my scalp when necessary but also my hair can breath. I love hair that looks real, I love hair that is long but most of all I love hair that I can do myself.
Today I’m sharing my latest protective style - CROCHET BRAIDS WITH INVISIBLE ROOTS. if you haven’t you heard about the invisible roots, no worries, I’m here to share it with you. The invisible roots which is also called knotless crochet braids allows you to rock bulk hair (braiding hair) with no knots or tracks showing. With the invisible roots you can basically rock any kind of parting you want without worrying about anyone seeing your tracks. The best part about it is you don’t have to limit yourself to just curly/kinky hair, you can rock straight hair too.
My personal taste when it comes to crochet hair is curly or kinky hair because when my cornrows start growing out it will not show as much as it would if I had straight hair, so if you’re a natural girl I would advice you to go for something in that category.
The hair that I chose this time around is something in between curly and kinky hair. It is the Brazilian bulk hair from Cherish. This hair is a synthetic hair that is very long and soft, light weighted, it is 20”, colour 1B and from Taj Mahal in Stockholm. The shedding and tangling is minimum but I would advice you to at least once a week detangle your hair as I did in my video just to keep it big, detangled and full of life.
for this hairstyle I used 4 packets and I have about ten cornrows underneath it, I also chose to make it more spacious in the back and focus more on making it more fuller in the front (as I always do).
Here is the video showing you how I installed my hair about a week ago and remember if I can do it, so can you ;)
